Commonwealth Games

During the holidays the Commonwealth Games are supposed to be happening in India. 

You need to research the Commonwealth Games and present your information in any way you like. Think of the different things we have used this year. It needs to be embedded on your blog - which also means you need to make sure your presentation, spelling, grammar etc are all correct. Get a teacher to read it, get a buddy to read it, use word and a dictionary. 

Here is a list of ideas to include in your presentation - but remember - you can add a lot more also (make sure it is not copy and pasted!)

• What is the Commonwealth?
• Why do we have the Commonwealth Games?
• Is there a symbol?
• Where are they held? How often? How do countries get to hold them?
• Who attends?
• What sports?
• Who are New Zealand's best medal prospects? What sport? Quick bio about them?
• There have been many issues regarding these games - what are they? Find out info on these.
• Are the Commonwealth Games going to go ahead? What do you think? Would you want to?
• Security issues - discuss these - terrorism
